With our technique sound and efficiency improved, it’s time to begin building that aerobic base with longer intervals at aerobic efforts. Join us for Swimming sessions on Tuesday/Thursday from 6:30 – 7:30 am and Stationary Trainer sessions also on Tuesday/Thursday at 6:15 – 7:30 pm. In the pool we are working on lengthening our strokes and building “efficient endurance” in the water with technique enhancement. This block will set us up for strength development in the third block and finally speed and power in the final block. Currently we are have a group of 8-12 swimmers at each sessions, which we divide up into lanes based on current ability levels. On the bike we are continuing to build strength & technique with our ILT’s, maxing out our ‘climb’ at 30 minutes and beginning to add surges to the equation to begin boosting the effort level and improving our fitness on the bike. Our bike group is at 12-15 riders and geared towards all abilities from beginners to elite getting solid bike training in over a relatively short period of time. Maximize your time, training and technique by joining us in round two! Pricing starts at $48 for the 3-week (6 class) block, dropping from there with discounts for Team Adrenalin members, EPC athletes and multiple group sign-ups.

Calling all EPC tri-roadies (and off-roadies)… Make sure to fit in some or all of these great events put on by Without Limits Productions this summer!
Team Adrenalin members, we need your help! Register as part of the club. 2012 is your year to: travel the state, race your heart out, and help your club earn top honors as the fastest club in all of Colorado! Athletes will still compete in their age-groups – this is just an additional category to foster some good ol’ fashioned club compeition! Please fill in your club affiliation when entering each of the races. A list of club members will be posted at packet pick-up for each race. If your name is not listed as being a member of your club, notify the registration desk before the race. Changes will not be made on race day.
There are 5 races and they all count! The Steamboat Olympic, Harvest Moon Half, and Oktoberfest Championship will weight heavier than the first 2 sprints, but the tour is set up to reward consistency as well as speed! -The top 12 athletes on your club team will score points. The top 7 men / top 5 women (If less than 12 from your particular team race then you’ll just bank less points for your team tour total) – The Summer OPEN Sprint and Steamboat Lake Sprint will be scored 30 deep on the mens side and 30 deep on the womens side [Points: 1st place 30 points, 2nd 29 points, 3rd 28 points etc. etc.] – The Steamboat Olympic will be scored 30 deep on the mens side and 30 deep on the womens side [Points will start at 33 for first and go down to 3 points for 30th] – The Harvest Moon Half and Oktoberfest Championship will be scored 30 deep on the mens side and 30 deep on the womens side [Points will start at 35 for first and go down to 5 points for 30th]. Learn more and register at www.withoutlimits.co
We need all Team Adrenalin triathletes to compete (even you “off-road only” guys/gals that don’t normally race the road). No matter how fast or slow you think you are, we want you to participate! To make this even more fun, we will give these 5 events ‘priority status’ for the Team Adrenalin race support so we have a place to hang out after the races as a team and make the most of it. EPC coaches will also be putting together a Group Coaching Plan designed around these events that will be available to follow along with to make sure your training is on track! What better way to build our team spirit and get to race together all season long! This is going to be fun! Get yourself signed up and join the ‘Road Tri’ GROUP in the MEMBERS section of the website.
And to not leave out the ‘cyclist-only’ members, we are also planning Winter Park MTB Series and RME Series events, and Colorado Cup Series events for road racers. This team thing is going to be huge!

EPC and XTERRA shining star, Hairy Jason Michalak, has extended invitations to all EPC’ers and friends that would like to join him in the desert for some warmer training in March. The plan is to ride, run and maybe even swim some (?) on the Moab XTERRA course plus other great trails in the area over the 5-day period of time. Although Moab is well-known for it’s radical and technical trails, there are quite a few novice and intermediate riding options available for longer endurance training and keeping the HR in check! Jason’s plan is to camp for the week, but there are hotel and B&B options for the less outdoor-inclined types. Should be a good time and great training, maybe even without leg-warmers!
Here is the plan:
