2016 Trainer Series

Join us for our 13th annual S:6 (formerly EPC) Winter Trainer Series!

Improve your cycling fitness with our popular & proven 12-week trainer series. Our progressive series designed for cyclists and triathletes, consists of workouts that take you through essential strength development and interval sessions allowing you to improve your lactate threshold power before your summer race season training takes over. We begin by focusing on aerobic strength intervals before ramping up the intensity with progressive threshold intervals and finishing with vo2 max intervals to raise your cycling to another level. From our experience you can expect an average gain in power at threshold of between 5-15% from week one to week twelve!

NEW this year is a TACX Power Trainer set-up for all athletes to train with power!

With our growing business (see EPC to Rebrand), we have moved to a new location for 2016 (off 6th Avenue in Lakewood) and have purchased TACX Smart Trainers for our cycling participants to utilize and be able to train with power! Gone are the days of lugging your own trainer back and forth, and guessing if you’re working at the right intensity level. With the new TACX Smart Trainer set-up, you’ll be able to identify your threshold power on week 1 of the program and set your trainer to your power level for every session to make sure you’re training at the right intensity. Then at the end of the series you’ll retest and be able to see your actual quantified gains! You will be able to connect your ANT+ or Bluetooth enabled cycling computer or smart phone to your trainer to read your data as you train.

NEW this year is multiple training session options!

The series is a full 12 weeks of training sessions (either once or twice a week, as desired) with a recovery week at the mid-point of the series after week 6 . The series begins the week of January 4th and concludes the week of March 28th (13 weeks from start to finish). The program is designed to be completed in full with either once or twice weekly coach led group training sessions. By Spring you’ll be in great cycling shape and ready to jump into your race specific training!
